A Humanist funeral or memorial service is truly a “Celebration of Life”. There are many families who do not have a church community, who wish to mark the passage of a loved one with thoughtful reflection, a sharing of memories and a recognition of the achievements of the unique person who no longer shares their life.
It would be my honour to create a non-religious service that best reflects the hopes and wishes of the deceased as well as the bereaved.
When arranging a celebration of life, I will meet with the bereaved family very shortly after you contact me. We will meet at your convenience and where you will be most comfortable, to gather information appropriate for the service, to help ease the process of family eulogy writing, and music selection, if desired. I will then write a service as unique as the person we will honour and in keeping with your wishes.
Members of the family are invited to speak during the ceremony or ask me to say/read something on their behalf.
On the day, I will arrive at your venue half an hour early to address any changes that require attention.
Each ceremony is crafted with your family and loved one in mind.
