Joyful Life Celebrations provides Humanist weddings tailored to suit you. These are simple, personalized, ethics-based wedding ceremonies for everyone, with an emphasis on common values, human rights, mutual responsibility and respect.
My ceremonies are secular, ethical, non-religious and non-denominational, and legally equivalent to a civil ceremony or City Hall wedding. However, each ceremony is co-created with the couple to reflect your values and wishes.
My practice is inclusive: inter-faith couples who are seeking to blend two faiths with one love; couples who have no church community to turn to; same-sex couples; couples of different cultural backgrounds, and couples for whom there is no God.

I am committed to working with you to create a beautiful, meaningful ceremony that best reflects you. While my weddings do not use religious language, I am deeply respectful of your cultural and family traditions. Your wedding will reinforce your commitment and love for each other as equal partners in this next stage of your lives together.
Whether it is a private elopement, a short legal ceremony for those planning a ‘destination’ wedding, a family or community gathering, an informal event or a large traditional wedding, we will help design a simple, meaningful, marriage service which reflects your wishes and personal circumstances.
Note: Humanist officiants are listed as ‘religious officiants’ by Ontario Law, because there is no category for ‘ethical or humanist officiants’. My ceremonies are legal, and beautiful, just not religious.
